About Dr. Lamb
Dr. Melinda Nicole Lamb MD, is a board-certified general surgeon providing complete surgical care to adults living in and around Costa Mesa, California, and throughout Orange County.
Dr. Lamb earned her undergraduate degree from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. Afterward, she enrolled at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, previously known as the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, in Rochester, Minnesota, earning her medical degree.
Before entering private practice, Dr. Lamb completed two general surgery internships. One at the Mayo Clinic and the second at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) in Atlanta, Georgia.
She subsequently completed a general surgery residency at Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, a research fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine (Keck School of Medicine at USC) in Los Angeles, and a colon and rectal surgery fellowship at the University of Nevada Reno School of Medicine (UNR) in Reno.
Dr. Lamb has extensive training in the surgical treatment of various diseases. She is especially skilled in treating fecal incontinence, hemorrhoids, rectal bleeding, and anal pain.
